3 Ways to Actively Use the Catch-a-Fire Pizza Principle "Experience"

Our Catch-a-Fire Pizza Principle for January is Experience. Experience is defined in our pizza principles as “creating a memorable and positive moment for staff and guests.” Here are 3 ways to actively use the principle of experience.

#1 How is the guest interpreting my actions and behavior?

A team member who demonstrates creating a memorable experience is professional, polite and has made their intentions clear through their actions. Answering questions, fielding comments and concerns and alleviating problems are all signs of demonstrating a positive guest experience.

#2 How am I treating my work and those that I work with?

Experience is largely about the guest’s satisfaction, but it is also a part of how the job is executed with the team you work with. When demonstrating experience, it is very important to remember that everyone is part of making the experience happen, from the front of house staff to the back of house. Having clear lines of professional communication is important in the day to day operations.

#3 How can I constantly improve?

Demonstrating experience is a skill that is constantly changing. The demands for one day can be completely different from the next day. Having adaptability and being able to accommodate the guests appropriately is a must. Establishing metrics and gauging how you can improve your personal performance is key to demonstrating experience.
