Catch-a-Fire Pizza Volunteers Over 121 Hours to Save Cincinnati's Environment in their first 2 Months with 1% for the Planet

With over 121 volunteer hours in only 2 months, Catch-a-Fire Pizza's team is making an impact to save our planet while having fun together every month too.

May was a successful month for 1% for the Planet! We held our first Cincinnati Zoo event May 12th with the horticulture department. We cleared out the remaining tulips from zoo blooms so they could plant their summer annuals! After that, we helped mulch some beds that they had already planted.

Check out what Hannah Hilbert had to say, “I wanted to come out and volunteer as it’s something I’m passionate about. I’m so proud to be a part of a company that is filled with so many wonderful people who selflessly give their time back to their community. 1% for the planet + Catch a Fire has allowed me to find an accessible, easy way to volunteer in my community. It’s also a great way to get out and meet some new people!”

Our second May event was also held at the Cincinnati Zoo on May 24 with the horticulture department. This time around, we planted summer annuals outside the Zoo on the corner of Vine and Erkenbrecher. So, if you’re around the Zoo, check out Catch a Fire’s work!

Here’s what Ethen Feller and Nigel Sparks had to say, “It was a lot of fun getting together with everyone to help plant flowers at the Zoo. The end result turned out phenomenal and was definitely worth the effort we put in. Also, it was awesome playing in the dirt with the CAF crew!"

Be sure to check back here on our website for upcoming volunteer days each month. Everyone has a 1% to give and we welcome you to join our team in serving the community and working to save our planet.
